Our Staff:

Missy Carrell
During our very first show, Missy sold raffle tickets and continued this for a couple of years. She then asked for more responsibility. She got it! Now Missy seeks out most of the sponsorships and simply runs a large part of this show.

Ted Lyons
Ted is also an original, spanning back to the first show. Ted has performed several duties to include gloving fighters, working corners, coordinating bouts and others. Today Ted acts as a floor manager by resolving problems that arise and keeping the show running smoothly. Ted is an undefeated professional boxer with a record of 1 – 0.

Mike and Debbie Forrest
Mike and Debbie have been with the show since the idea was developed. Along with Kim Young, they were our very first volunteers. Mike and Debbie started as our trusted bell ringer and time keeper for the night of the show. Today, hey still perform this job but also help with police promotions and any other aspect of the show that needs them. Both are police officers with Indianapolis Metro Police Department.

Sam and Kim Young
Kim Young, formerly Jointer, teamed up with and worked ringside at our first show. Along with Mike and Debbie, they made up our first three original volunteers. Kim coordinates with Ring Announcer Joe York and makes sure our fighters, sponsors and VIP’s are properly recognized. Sam came along a couple of years later, via marriage. Both help with police promotions and other aspects of the show. Kim is a police officer with IMPD and Sam helps run the FOP Lodge 86.

Jeff Patterson
Jeff has spent his entire adult life around the fight game. He was always around helping, whether it was working as a corner man, training fighters or even refereeing. Now Jeff is coaching the Police Team

Tony Head
Tony is not exactly a new face. He has fought in the Slugfest at least four times and has provided some of our most memorable moments. He is also a very talented kickboxer. Tony will be coaching fighters and running their corners. Tony is a full time firefighter for IFD.
