FIGHTER CONTEST RULES
- Each team member will fight one time
- The team with the larger number of victories will be the winning team
- Scoring is done by an adapted 10-point must system
- This system is adapted to prevent a draw, by using a fourth “tie buster judge”
- One referee and three judges will officiate each fight
- Each fight will be decided by Knockout, Technical Knockout, Judges decision or disqualification
- Standing 8-counts are in effect
- There is no three knockdown rule
- Contact is allowed with the striking surface of the gloves ONLY!
- Front and side of the trunk of the body, above the belt is acceptable contact
- Front and side of the head, in front of the ears is acceptable contact
- If anything other than the bottoms of the feet touch the canvas, a knockdown or slip has occurred
- Neutral corners (white) are to be utilized if your opponent is knocked down, slips or you are directed there
- Prohibited conduct includes:
- Holding and hitting
- Striking when opponent is down
- Tackling, throwing or tossing to the canvas
- Any unsportsmen like conduct
- Stoppages will be liberal
TRAINERS AND CORNERMEN
- Experienced and professional corner men are provided
- If you have your own trainer, that trainer will accompany on of our cornermen
- Only one personal trainer will be admitted, free of charge
- Your trainer / cornerman must work your corner
- Corner men must exit the ring upon the command of “seconds out”
- All corner men must stay off the ring apron during fight time
- A SLUGFEST Inspector must oversee all corner operations
- Automatic disqualification for any fighter who’s cornermen enter the ring or climb on the apron during an altercation
EQUIPMENT
- All uniforms, gloves and headgear are provided
- Groin protections is mandatory for males but not provided
- Mouth guards are mandatory for all fighters
- Tape or hand wraps are mandatory and provided
- All corner supplies are provided
