911 SLUGFEST RULES AND OPERATION

ELIGIBILITY
  • Must be a full time fire fighter or sworn/merit law enforcement officer or retired
  • You must have insurance provided by the municipality that you work for
  • Must pass the fight doctors physical examination
  • You can not be a professional fighter
  • Anyone with over 4 sanctioned amateur fights does not qualify for team competition
SAFETY AND SPORTSMANSHIP
  • The doctor overrules everyone
  • The referee, doctor, corner man or fighter may stop the contest
  • Standing 8-counts will be given liberally
  • The fight will be stopped if:
    • A count of 10 is reached on a knockdown
    • It is felt the fighter should not continue for safety reasons
    • The fighter cannot or will not fight or defend himself/herself
    • Any unsportsmen like conduct
    • Stoppages will be liberal
  • Earrings, Body piercing and jewelry must be removed, taped or covered
  • Any consumption of alcohol before or during the competition will result in immediate disqualification
  • All fighters must fight in the appropriate weight class
    • SUPER-HEAVYWEIGHT 230-ABOVE
    • HEAVYWEIGHT 215- 229
    • CRUISERWEIGHT 200-214
    • LIGHT HEAVY WEIGHT 185 –199
    • MIDDLE WEIGHT 170 - 184
    • WELTERWEIGHT 155 - 169
    • LIGHTWEIGHT 168 - UNDER
    • WOMEN’S DIVISIONS WILL SPAN 15 POUNDS
  • Super-lightweight or Super-middleweight division may be added
  • Women’s divisions will be within 15 pounds of both competitors, except for open-ended light or heavy

IF FIGHTER ARE UNABLE TO MATCHED SAFELY IN THEIR PROSPECTIVE WEIGHT DIVISIONS, THEN THEY WILL BE MATCHED WITH THE MOST APPROPRIATE FIGHTER WHICH IS WITHIN 15LBS OF EACH OTHERS BODY WEIGHT.
